Pink bow tie

I'm a sucker for short skirts, but when New England issues a frostbite warning you can imagine how that could interfere with the daily outfit. Fortunately, I discovered these really warm thigh highs and the problem was no more! Next thing on the agenda is to get them in every color possible so I can stick to my skimpy faves without freezing!

tour de force

Being an avid thrift shopper, I have officially become the new and proud owner of this glamorous sequined jacket! I'm testing new heights (literally-in these shoes, and figuratively-reverting to 80s style) and perhaps a new outlook-from the top.

The subtle shift in dressing is one of the reasons I like vintage. It's something everyone can relate to and has seen before, although not everyone is ready to revisit. Between all the new purchases last week, I'm bound to revisit at least a couple of decades. Stay tuned!

Orange you glad now that you're gone

How quickly this week flew by! I keep wishing and waiting for the days to pass so that I can finally be done with school, which seems to have high jacked my life for the last couple of years. I am now realizing that instead of letting everything pass me by, trying to enjoy the little things in moderation is a perfect reprieve for the meantime. With that said, I did just that today and had a lovely and carefree time in this outfit. Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

The show must go on

Looks like January is going to be a busy month, and since this is the perfect time for new year's resolutions mine shall be to remain sane throughout this time (and hopefully all year). Another rotation is already kicking my butt and for the first time in a long time I really just want to be home in NY. This is also a fitting time to thank all of you for reading and following this blog, it really means so much to me!

Back to basics

A simple pair of jeans and a t-shirt are a staple of almost everyone's wardrobe...except mine. I decided to give it a go by pairing one of my most favorite Seven jeans with a belt I picked up at a vintage shop a few months back. Proud to say that I distressed them myself and would recommend this DIY project to anyone adventurous enough to try it out! Word of advice though, pick up a pair from a thrift store and practice before you take a razor to your favorite pair! Can you imagine if one of the sisters in the Traveling Pants movie decided to distress those pants and failed, what would happen to the ending?!
