Baby kiss me till your lipstick's gone

So this weekend I put Vintage on hold (but only for one night) and decided to take part in the present century and festivities, two things that are long overdue! My friend Julie, whose birthday we celebrated, lent me this black lace dress, and I gotta say I'm going to have a difficult time letting go. Everyone is asking me if it is vintage, and the answer is no. But the good news is that in about 10-20 years it will be! My favorite part about the look remains the bright orange lipstick by Nars (heat wave,$24)and I'm pretty sure I'll be sporting it till my lips become permanently stained with my most favorite color. ok, second most favorite color. Can you guess the first?

60s dreaming

I feel so lucky to spend thanksgiving break with my family and closest friends, in my most favorite city - NY. After being away from home I've come to appreciate so much, like nights out with my friends (which I'm currently getting ready for)and days hanging with the fam and my dog Kuzya, who I've sadly abandoned for the meantime(she's in good hands with my sister, don't worry!)

Whenever my friend and I drive home to NY, we periodically discover new vintage/thrift shops along the way, at which point(and don't try this at home) I pull a very quick lane-changing-move-into-the-parking-lot out of sheer excitement! This dress fell into my hands in just the right time as I made a quick stop at Savers, somewhere in CT. I say "somewhere" because most of the time I have no clue where I am; all that matters is that the lovely and assertive voice in the GPS does! Made my holiday and the long ride home just a little bit sweeter. Its all about the little things!

Getting there

I've recently developed what I like to think of as a healthy obsession with boots. Opinions on this tend to vary amongst various family members, but nevertheless, please welcome (an undisclosed pair number)to my shoe collection! I must admit these vintage grey boots don't completely agree with my feet, but thats no reason to leave a pair like this behind, and of course I didn't!

Tik-Tok on the broken clock

I have a very special relationship with all things broken, like this Saint Laurent watch I rescued from a vintage shop, although it just refuses to tell time. But in all honesty it doesn't need to, it actually gives it a little somethin somethin because it doesn't. And only I know that. And now you. I more than ever adore it and have been weighed down by it (yes, its heavy) for the last couple of days. Maybe I'll make an attempt at fixing it. But just one ;)

Shoes: Perry Ellis (thrifted)
Shorts: Urban Outfitterrs

Remember November

Sooooooo, I know you've all been eagerly awaiting a come back (wink) so here I finally am in all my glory, or rather- furry. After a long and difficult rotation with practically no time for shopping/shooting vintage escapades, I am so excited to pick right up where I left off! Only this time, its about 20 degrees cooler, but all the more reason to spice up the outfits. This fur vest (sorry animal lovers/PETA) has miraculously made its way into my possession and has been keeping me stylish and warm in this dreary north-eastern weather! Im actually growing fond of the north east as I keep making trips home to NY and back to Mass and finding adorable little towns along the way, like Greenwich, CT where I stopped to shoot a few pics. Promise to keep the post coming guys, stay tuned :)
