Pleather

Lately I've been consumed with all things leather;  however, not only are quality leather pieces hard to come by, but they are also ridiculously expensive. And of course insensitive to the animals. But mostly expensive ( lets just keep that between each other). You can imagine my excitement when I found these pants which may as well be leather, but for a fraction of the price and cruelty (aside for the probable sweatshop they were made in). < JK >

Fake blizzard

So the NYC transit system is not typically my friend, but it was impossible to get a cab even in this fake storm. I must admit I almost slipped and fell several times while walking to the subway, which would have been pretty funny. And painful. Luckily I would have this soft furry jacket to land on, but Im glad I was able to remain in the upright position for most of the day.... the night is still young though!

Crank it up

I almost never like the matchy-matchy look but today I somehow ended up in a gray (grey?) ensemble. A good solid color of an outfit can create a blank canvas to accentuate other things, like your make up. Its hard to pull off orange lips when you're wearing a colorful outfit, but solid neutral tones can help you avoid looking like a hot mess, and make you look simply hot!

Village moments

Ever since I got this vintage stole I've been dying to wrap myself in it and feel the old world chicness of the time, but somehow never got around to wearing it until today. Although this spring-themed outfit doesn't exactly seem weather appropriate, the mink stole definitely adds not only style but sizzle! I love blending the old with the new and using vintage pieces to accent an outfit so it looks truly unique. And drinking spiked hot apple cider (yum) adds that extra bit of warmth on this snowy day. Lucky for me, I live next to a place that spikes it just right!

Tailored Trends

Let me reintroduce myself to all of my supportive followers from back in the days of cold Worcester winters, muggy New York summers, ends of really hard working school semesters, and beginnings of my adventures in the big city. I am a fashion lover and re-inventor, fur obsessor, vintage wearer, a second chance clothing advocate, and a lover of all people and things creative. Ready to embark on yet another fashionable journey and take New York by rain, snow, or storm, which given the right {fashionable}-gear, isn't so hard after all as long as you're prepared. Sometimes, even a little over prepared ;)
