Some say the grass is greener on the other side. Some, are actually right. Except that its blue-er and red-der, but that's just a technicality.

There are always guys checking out the pant racks in women's section, so if they are under the impression that the pants are better on our lawn, why not check out their's...

Best idea I've had yet. Some guy's blue-jeans and vintage cardigan now belong to a very happy gal.

Street style

A vintage pair of jeans is not only a must have, but a must wear. The high wasted green denim makes for a polished look, paired with a more contemporary top from CALYPSO St. Barth. I don't wear pants too often, but this pair is making me want to reinvent my wardrobe and inject some trousers into my fashion repertoire. Something to look forward to in the fall!

Sixties Sensation

Back from Style-Palate hiatus, who's excited?!!!!!! Lots has been happening and I'm so ready to pick up where I left off (gosh, where has the summer gone...) Actually, fall is not such a bad season after all, considering that this is the first time that I wont be going back to school, and it feels great.

Now that I have permanently moved back to NY, I gotta say my thrifting adventures don't exactly compare to the Massachusetts hot spots. New Yorkers sure have the passion for (budgeted) fashion, which translates to finding close to nothing on the racks of my favorite shops, frequented often by thriftenistas. But I am not one who doesnt like a good challenge, and I'll just have to dig deeper- literally.

...and I got off to a great start, digging out this skirt at one end and the top at the other end of a shop. Who would have thought that these two were ever apart. New York, here I come!!!

Hip Hip Harem

On this sun soaked early spring day I decided to try out a new look. Case in point: harem pants neatly tucked away at the ankles. If I could spend half my life in leggings (and I probably do), I'd definitely spend the other half in harem pants. Although harem pants can get pretty ridiculous, this pair is easy on the eyes. Two more harem-styled looks to come shortly!

Fringe Benefits

This past week I have discovered two things: 1. gemologist is a real word and a legitimate profession, and 2. there's Saver's in NY after all!

If my (hypothetical) closet wasn't already (hypothetically) ripping at the seams then I wouldn't think twice about getting the most adorable green boots I spotted. However, since it is... I only thought about it once, and just had to get them anyway. The boots are a perfect addition to the latest three things I'm obsessing about, if you haven't already noticed: braiding my hair, western looks, and anything green. Would love to hear yours!
